Try this mindful gratitude practice to lead you to greater sensitivity to the experience of gratitude:

Are your ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ด a habitual response? Do you offer thanks in haste? How are you feeling when you express thanks in small transactions? Stressed, uptight, a little absent-minded? Do a quick scan of your bodyโ€”are you already physically moving on to your next interaction without giving thought to what you are thankful for and why?

These emotions are valid and your teen should be assured that they are allowed to feel their feelings. What most teens donโ€™t know is that they can feel those feelings and not act based on them.
